Fountaindale Public Library Launches a Brand-New Look

Bolingbrook, Ill. – Fountaindale Public Library District unveiled a new look on Monday, April 24, to coincide with National Library Week, which runs April 23–29. The rebrand included the debut of a sleek, new logo that focuses on the architecture of the library.

"During our strategic planning process, we asked our patrons, "What is the greatest value the public library provides to you and your family," said Robert Kalnicky, President of Fountaindale Public Library's Board of Trustees. "The theme that emerged from their answers was that our library is a place to achieve many different goals and aspirations. Inspired by our patrons' love for our building, we designed our new logo to visually represents our space and instantly connect our patrons to their library."

To celebrate Fountaindale's new look and National Library Week, they are hosting a variety of events and activities throughout the week. The first 200 visitors to get a new library card or trade in their current card will receive a newly branded Fountaindale canvas bag. The library is also giving away free cardholder keychains in their lobby and on the Bookmobile, while supplies last. Guests of all ages can stop by the Children's Services Desk to guess how many M&Ms are in the jar, and they can enter an all-ages bookmark design contest where the winning design from each age group will be printed and distributed by the library this summer.

On Wednesday, April 26, Fountaindale is celebrating National Library Outreach Day. For 20 years, the Bookmobile has made accessing library materials and services easier for students, teachers, seniors and those who cannot physically come to the library. With the addition of the Library Express Van in 2017 and a small van in 2023 for home delivery service, their hardworking Outreach Services team now visits more than 30 locations in the community. Visit the library on National Library Outreach Day from 2 to 4 p.m. to tour the vehicles, meet the staff and enjoy storytimes, brand-new giveaways and meet Bluey from the popular children's TV show.

"We encourage you to utilize the materials, events, resources and services at your library all year long," said Kalnicky. "Whether you make, design or create in Studio 300, introduce your kids to early literacy tools, brush up on your occupational skills with our eResources or simply find your next great read, the possibilities for you to experience Fountaindale Public Library's full story are endless."
