Hawks preview After holding off previously-undefeated New Trier for their 19th CSL South title in the last 20 years, the Hawks face a second-consecutive undefeated team in the host Redhawks. After completing 22 of his 33 passes for 264 yards and a TD in his first varsity start, junior Hawks QB Rowan Keefe looks for more as the Hawks look to finish 6-0.

Keefe has completed 34 of his 57 passes for 461 yards and two TDs.

Senior RB Mike Sajenko has rushed for 179 yards with three TDs, while leading the Hawks in receiving with 21 catches for 423 yards and six TD catches. Sajenko ranks third in area pass receiving yards and his 54 points scored, ranks fourth in the area.

The Hawks defense, that has only allowed only four TDs and 6.4 ppg, is led by junior LB Ted Gianaris and senior LB Connor Leyden. Junior DB Kevin Wolf may have made game-saving play against New Trier.

Hilltoppers Preview In this insane season, a victory for the guests from Aurora's Marmion Academy would give the Cadets the 2020-21 Chicago Catholic League/East Suburban Catholic White Division Championship. The Cadets would have received a gift of the virus cancelling their March 26th CCL/ESCC White contest with St. Ignatius. The Hilltoppers know the quality of the St.Ignatius Wolves.

On April 3, the Cadets defeated Fenwick 20-19 in their only CCL/ESCC White game. A Hilltoppers win will take care of everything.

All-State junior RB Jordan Anderson continues to lead the area in rushing yardage (793 yards) and touchdowns (14). Senior Ja'Arie Mack has rushed for 293 yards and three TDs to add some depth to the Hilltoppers ground attack.

Dual-threat junior QB Aidan Voss has thrown for 555 yards with seven TD strikes with only one interception. Voss has rushed for 212 yards and has two TDs. Junior Jake Fieldman leads the Hilltoppers' receivers with 13 catches for 301 yards and three TDs

The Hilltopper first-team defense has only allowed one touchdown and is led by team-spokesman all-state safety Jabril Williams. The Sack Master senior DE Pat Strocchia will have in his sights set on Marmion QB Padraig Fitzgerald.

Indians preview 10/26/19 'The Drive.'

Led by the Indians 2019 Enterprise Newspapers Offensive MVP Seth Lehr, the unbeaten Indians went on a 71-yard scoring drive capped off by a six-yard touchdown run from Indian FB Zach Wingerter with 1:16 remaining in the game to defeat previously-unbeaten Oswego 28-21.

The win ended an eight-year SPC title reign for Oswego and gave the only 9-0 Minooka Indians football team in history, the 2019 SPC West title.

544 days after that historic night in Oswego, the defending SPC West champion Indians look to defeat Oswego again and defend their 2019 SPC West title.

The Indians are led by their multi-talented RB Hunter Ryan.

On Monday, Ryan helped lead the Indians baseball team into the semifinals of the prestigious 12th Annual WJOL/Don Ladas Memorial Baseball Tournament. Ryan has rushed for 416 yards and six TDs. Ryan has caught 10 passes from Indian QB Seth Davis (55-96-660 yards, 8TD, 241 yards rushing, 2TD) for 140 yards and two more TDs.

Sophomore WR/KR Trevor Hudak is Davis' favorite target, hauling in 18 of Davis' passes for 248 yards and four TD receptions. Hudak has returned a 95-yard kickoff and a 59-yard punt for touchdowns. Hudak also has a 75-yard TD run from scrimmage.

Indian Nation, well at least 25 percent of them, will be out in force at Central Stadium Field for the battle for SPC West supremacy on Friday night.

Dons Preview The Dons D On Saturday in La Grange Park they totally smothered the Roadrunner offense. Up next the AP Class 5A No. 2 ranked Mustangs.

Wildcats preview Wildcat junior RB Aaron Larkins, Jr.

After rushing for 237 yards and two TD versus Romeoville on April 9, Larkins, Jr. scored five times and settled for 189 yards in the win over the Steelmen. Larkins has now rushed for 710 yards with eight TDs. Larkins is second in the area only trailing Joliet Catholic's Jordan Anderson who has rushed for 793 yards. Larkins has scored 56 points, which ranks third in the area.

Senior QB Chris Leto only threw four passes (completed three) against the Steelmen has now thrown for 653 yards with six TD strikes. Jalen Turley has 10 catches for 160 yards with two TDs, to lead 'Cat receivers.

With a victory over the Tigers, the 'Cats would finish at 3-3 for the first non-losing season since the late, great John Jackson coached the 'Cats to a 6-4 mark in 2012.

Tigers preview Junior QB Skyar Crudup has passed for 337 yards with six TDs. Senior RB James Zillinger has rushed for 408 yards with five TDs. The Tigers defense is led by junior Bryan McCoy.

Bengals preview The only thing it seems that can stop our school's high-flying offenses is the world-wide-virus. The 35.5 ppg senior QB Brett Winiecki-led Bengal offense, first had their SPC East game with Romeoville cancelled when a Spartan tested positive. Then their replacement game with the South Suburban Conference Oak Forest was cancelled when an Oak Forest Bengal tested positive.

Winiecki lost his area passing yardage leadership back to Bolingbrook's Vince Meschi (1,088 yards).

Winiecki has thrown for 1,022 yards and an area-leading 10 TD passes and rushed for 291 yards and two more TDs. Senior Tevan Washington has rushed for 253 yards and three TDs.

WR's Jordan Knowles (22-420 yards, 8TD) and Mike Morgan (22-382 yards, 2TDs) rank third and fifth in area pass receiving and Knowles leads the area with eight TD receptions. Knowles has scored 58 points on the season, which ranks second to Joliet Catholic's Jordan Anderson (84 points).

Steelmen preview The Steelmen are led by their sophomore QB Carl Bew, who has thrown for 310 yards with three TDs.

Tigers preview With a win the Tigers can grab a share of the SPC West title with the Minooka-Oswego winner. The Tigers are led by their junior RB Jared Gumila and the all-purpose senior Carlos Conley.

Gumila ranks third in the area with his 536 rushing yards and three TDs, while Conley has done it all for the Tigers — a kickoff and and a punt return for six, a pick-six from his DB spot.

Senior QB Adam Smith runs the Tigers offense. Smith has thrown for 308 yards and two TDs.

The Tiger D has allowed 14 ppg and is led by DBs Conley, Danny Nuccio and DE Josh Hlavacek

Porters preview The Porters appearance on Monday Night Football was a complete success. After Andrew scored its only seven points of the night, Porter senior Bill Orban electrified the Monday Night Football Porters crowd with an 84-yard kickoff return for six. Orban's touchdown ignited a 43-0 Porters explosion leading to the blow-out victory,

Senior QB Riley Pfeiffer has thrown for 410 yards with four TD tosses. Pfeiffer's favorite receiver junior Ryan Little has hauled in 17 of Pfeiffer's tosses for 249 yards and a TD. Senior WR Kyle Yehling has eight catches for 192 yards and a TD.

6-foot-7 junior QB Hayden Timosciek has thrown for 174 yards and three TDs in a back-up QB roll to Pfeiffer.

Junior RB Andrew LoPresti is fourth in area rushing yardage with 464 yards and five TDs.

With a win over the winless Chargers, the Porters would finish 4-2 for the 2020-21 campaign. The first winning season since 2016 (6-4).

Porters head coach George Czart has resurrected the Lockport football program — 4-5 in 2019, and could be 4-2 in 2020-21.

Raiders preview Raider senior QB Vince Meschi has completed 88 of his 158 passing attempts for 1,088 yards which leads the area and seven TD passes. Senior WR Andrew McElroy (31-454-5TDs) and freshman Kyon Berry-Johnson (28-403-1) are Meschi's favorite targets.

Junior RB Jaquon Howard, leads the Raiders ground attack with 389 yards and three TDs.

All-State LB Ty McLaurin, is always the main concern, for opposing offensive coordinators.

Mustangs preview The Mustangs enter the Crosstown Classic with a three-game winning streak after finishing in second place in the WSC Gold behind champion Willowbrook (4-1, 4-0).

Super soph QB Ryan Dawson has completed 42 of his 67 passes for 763 yards, which ranks fourth in the area and has thrown eight TDs and only one INT.

Junior WR Eli Reed has taken over the area leadership in pass receiving yardage with his 21 catches for 459 yards, with four TD receptions. Reed has rushed for 71 yards on only eight carries and has scored three rushing touchdowns and has a 95-yard kickoff return for six for his 48 points scored on the season. WR TE Mack O' Halloran has seven catches for 131 yards and two TDs.

Senior RB Rayshon Murff takes care of the Mustangs ground attack with his 226 yards and three TDs.

Trojans preview The Trojans, who missed two weeks due to the virus, have lost WSC Silver contests to Oak Park and Lyons Twp. A season-ending victory in the Crosstown Classic over the Mustangs would make for a successful season.

Spartans preview The Spartans SPC East finale was cancelled due to the virus, ending the Plainfield South Cougars (3-1, 2-1) season. So Spartans leading rusher, junior RB Jahari Christian (331 yards, four TDs) and the Spartans, will travel to Elmhurst to take on the West Suburban Conference Silver's Dukes of York.

Senior QB Austin Diamantos has thrown for 109 yards and has a pair of TD strikes.

The Spartans D is led by LB Jeremiah Wright-Carter and Seth Moser. DB Johnny Dennison anchors the Spartans secondary.

A big road win would give the Spartans their first winning season, since 2009 (5-4).

SATURDAY APRIL 24

Redwings Preview After three weeks off due to the virus, the Redwings took on the Associated Press' Class 5A No. 2-ranked St. Rita Mustangs and fell 34-20. St. Rita led 28-0 at the half before the Redwings outscored the Mustangs 20-6, in the second half.

In their season-finale, the Redwings travel to La Grange Park to take on the Roadrunners Saturday at noon.
