Lisle Police investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash

On Wednesday, April 7, at 8:15 pm, Lisle Police responded to the intersection of Maple Avenue and Spring Bay Drive for a traffic crash involving a passenger vehicle and motorcycle. Upon arriving on the scene, officers found a male unresponsive in the roadway. Lisle-Woodridge Fire District personnel arrived and pronounced the male, who had been driving the motorcycle, dead on the scene.

The victim has been identified as a 55-year-old Naperville resident, and notifications were made to his next of kin. The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The motorcycle was traveling westbound Maple Avenue when it collided with a vehicle that was turning from Spring Bay Drive onto Maple Avenue.

The Lisle Police Department was assisted by the DuPage MERIT Major Crash Reconstruction Team, who completed the accident reconstruction. Members of the Volunteers 4 Lisle Emergency Management Team also provided traffic support throughout the incident.
