Niles-Maine District Library trustee resigns

Library Board President Tim Spadoni has resigned from his position effective immediately

after more than five years on the Library Board. Mr. Spadoni served as Board Treasurer for four

years and Board President for the past year and a half. Mr. Spadoni's term would have expired in

2021. Library Trustee terms are 6 years.

"I have enjoyed my time on the Library Board and hope that I have made a positive impact

on its proceedings. It has been an honor to work with such a dedicated and committed group of

people. I wish the Niles-Maine District Library, its Board, and the residents of the District all the

best in the coming years." Spadoni stated in a letter.

At the August Board of Trustees meeting, Board Vice President Karen Dimond said, "This

is happy news for you, but sad news for us." Trustee Dimond continued to say, "You [Tim] have

served the residents of the Library District very well."

The Board of Trustees plan to announce a process for filling the vacant position at the

September Board Meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. For more information about the
