Romeoville plans park party for stay at home birthdays

Last updated 4/3/2020 at 3:09pm

The Village of Romeoville will be hosting a very special birthday themed park party this summer. The guests of honor will be Romeoville kids who had to celebrate their birthdays at home during the COVID-19 Stay At Home order.

"It's tough for kids to not be able to celebrate a birthday with their friends and extended family," said Mayor John Noak. "We are going to give them their party this summer and invite the whole community!"

More details will be available when the social distancing measures are lifted. Park parties traditionally consist of hot dogs, visits from the police and fire departments, inflatables, DJ, games, and more and a whole lot of fun!

As a reminder, with the Governor's order, we encourage residents to stay home and stay safe and only leave your homes to perform essential activities as outlined in the order. Please make sure that you are practicing all social distancing guidelines.
