Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the Rotary Club of Downers Grove announces that it has canceled the 2020 Rotary GroveFest.

The annual event, which draws thousands of people and has raised money for various organizations in the community, was planned to run June 25 through June 28, 2020 in Downtown Downers Grove.

"We are heartbroken to cancel the Rotary GroveFest this year, as it's something we and everyone in our community look forward to all year long," said Joe Kenny, president of the Rotary Club of Downers Grove in a release. "We want to thank the volunteers, businesses, musicians and other partners for their work throughout the years to make this such a special event. I'm confident we will be back in 2021."

Rotary GroveFest is a volunteer-run event, planned and executed by members of the Rotary Club of Downers Grove. According to the release, it is made possible with the help of 350-400 volunteers and more than 100 business and individual sponsors.

The Rotary Club of Downers Grove has been active in the community for more 60 years, and members meet weekly. The club raises money and donates funds to over 25 organizations in and around the community, as well as projects through Rotary International.
