Oswego stuns Steelwomen 42-41 in Oswego 16-game Steelwomen winning streak ends.

Oswego (13-7, 7-2 West) put a stunning end to Joliet Central's 16-game winning streak on Friday night in Oswego, 42-41. Trailing 38-37 late in the game, Joliet Central's Jalysa Stokes (17 points) and Ashanti Brown (10 points) scored consecutive baskets to put the Steelwomen up 41-38 with one minute remaining.

With under a minute left, Oswego's Jennah Rogers' free-throw pulled the Panthers within 41-39. A foul called on Brown led to a Jennelle Rogers', game-tying basket. Seconds later, a foul on Alexander led to Julia Henrikson game-winning free-throw.

The SPC West leaders from West Aurora (15-5, 9-1 West) rolled past the Wildcats (10-12, 5-4 East) in Aurora on Friday.
