The Redwings improved to 13-0 for the season with the quarterfinal win over the Huskies (11-4). The Redwings will meet Lake Forest (12-2) in the tournament's first semifinal at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The Dundee-Crown Charger Classic quarterfinal on Friday was deadlocked at 27-27 at the half. A 16-8 third quarter outburst by the Hawks (10-4) led to the stunning victory over the top-seeded and previously-undefeated Friars (15-1).

OSWEGO EAST

Joliet Central 49 Lockport 41

The Steelwomen (14-3) opened up a 15-8 first quarter lead and extended the lead to 31-16 at the half. The Porters (14-5) rallied but could get no closer than the final score. Joliet Central will take on Oswego (10-5) for the Oswego East Holiday Tournament on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Downers Grove South 45 Plainfield Central 44

The Mustangs (6-8) trailed 24-20 at the half. DGS grabbed a 35-32 lead after three quarters and held off the valiant Wildcats on Friday. Kachae Donald led Plainfield Central (7-8) with 19 points, while Tykara Harrison added 15 points. Jasmine Bonsu hauled down 10 boards for the 'Cats.

Plainfield North 55 Yorkville 47

The Tigers (8-7) opened up a 34-18 halftime lead and held-off the Lady Foxes on Friday. Marissa Mussato, Erin Henry and Natalie Bearbower led the Tigers.

SANDBURG

Joliet West 54 Richards 26

The Tigers (13-3) only led 26-14 at the half but exploded in the second half for the win. The Tigers will take on tournament hosts Sandburg (12-2) for the Sandburg Holiday Tournament Championship at 1:30 on Saturday.

The Cougars evened up their record at 6-6 with the blowout win over the Angels (10-6)

WHEATON NORTH

Downers Grove North 49 Waubonsie Valley 34

The Trojans (12-4) outscored the Warriors 17-7 in a huge fourth quarter to come away with the win over the Warriors (6-7)
