Forest Preserve's 2020 picnic and camping permits go on sale Jan. 2

Forest Preserve District of Will County 2020 picnic and camping permits will go on sale Thursday, Jan. 2. Permits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis online or in person at Forest Preserve visitor centers: Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville, Plum Creek Nature Center in Crete Township and Sugar Creek Administration Center in Joliet. Starting Friday, Jan. 3, permits also can be purchased in person at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center in Channahon for the first time. 'Only Owls' art exhibit extended to Jan. 12

The "Only Owls" art exhibition currently on display at the Forest Preserve District of Will County's Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville has been extended to Sunday, Jan. 12. The free, all-ages exhibit features 40 pieces of art drawn from the Wausau, Wisconsin-based Woodson Art Museum's collection. The exhibition provides insight into the fascinating world of owls and demonstrates a variety of stylistic approaches by 30 artists. The museum is located at 501 E. Romeo Road. Exhibit hours are: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit ReconnectWithNature.org.
