The Future of Golf Mill Park

The Village is collaborating with the Niles Park District to redevelop the Golf Mill Park located at Church Street and Cumberland Avenue, just south of Golf Mill Mall.  The proposed plan is a reimagined view of how this area could create a destination park setting that would serve Niles and its visitors, is a good neighbor, contribute to regional storm water needs and is uniquely a place for the community to come together.

The 10-acre park would include enhanced space for outdoor recreational and educational programs, space for tennis, soccer, basketball, walking paths, playground, splash pad and pond.  The plan also identifies space for events like farmers markets and art shows to festivals and concerts.   On November 6, the Village hosted an Open House to introduce the community to the concept and to solicit questions and feedback on the planned spaces and proposed usages. Approximately 125 residents attended the Open House.

We are not done!  We still want to hear from you.  An overview of the proposed redevelopment is available and we encourage you to take a few minutes to review the proposed project information and provide us with feedback and to ask questions regarding the project’s details.

We welcome these questions and comments until December 30, 2019.
