State Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant (D-Shorewood) invites residents to her December satellite office hours in Shorewood and Montgomery.

Satellite office hours offer residents the opportunity to work with Bertino-Tarrant’s staff to receive assistance with numerous services in a neighborhood near them.

The December dates and locations are:

· Friday, Dec. 6, Shorewood-Troy Library (650 Deerwood, Shorewood)

· Friday, Dec. 20, Montgomery Village Hall (200 N. River, Montgomery)

The office hours are from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

“Our office strives to be easily accessible to all of our neighbors, I hope you are able to stop by and meet with our staff to receive assistance, share concerns and learn more about services and programs offered by the state,” Bertino-Tarrant said.

Bertino-Tarrant will also be collecting winter clothing to help local organizations in need of all sizes of new winter gear including coats, socks, sweatshirts, scarves, gloves and more.

The winter months are a terrible struggle for low-income families, seniors, veterans and the homeless.

“Seniors, children and veterans in our own communities may struggle to afford the proper winter gear to survive the season,” Bertino-Tarrant said. “I’m spearheading this warm clothing drive to help ensure no one goes cold during these winter months. If you have coats, gloves, hats or sweatshirts lying around the house, please consider donating them.”

Bertino-Tarrant urges residents to contact her office with questions and concerns at (815) 254-4211 or visit http://www.SenatorBertinoTarrant.com.
