City gets a seat on the ONCC Fly Quiet Committee

O'Hare Noise Compatibility Commission Chair and Mayor of Mount Prospect Arlene Juracek, with the approval of the Executive Committee, appointed the City of Park Ridge to fill a vacancy on the Fly Quiet Committee following the resignation of City of Chicago Ward 41 representative, Catherine Dunlap, from the ONCC.

The ONCC Fly Quiet Committee consists of 11 members of the ONCC. Members of the Committee are appointed by the ONCC Chair subject to approval of the Executive Committee. Fly Quiet Committee membership is intended to represent all geographic quadrants surrounding the airport. The Committee is working to develop a new Fly Quiet nighttime noise abatement program.

According to Mayor Maloney, "I would like to thank Mayor Juracek and the Committee for providing this opportunity to the City of Park Ridge.   We look forward to working within the committee to achieve positive results for the residents of Park Ridge and all of the communities that ring the airport."
