When the best of the best line up on Saturday's to compete for a shot at an NCAA Division-I FBS National Championship, there are good odds there will be some representitive from the Voyager Media coverage area as players litter the national landcape of college football.

From the Big 10 to the coasts, from Illinois to Army, the local area has players who will compete at the highest level of their game.

BIG 10

NORTHWESTERN

Cam Mitchell

Defensive back from Bolingbrook verbally committed to Northwestern in March of 2018. He was a four-year varsity letterwinner and two-time team captain for the Raiders and was SouthWest Suburban All-Conference honors as a junior and senior.

Izayah Green-May

Sophomore outside linebacker from Bolingbrook played in six games for the Badgers last season, totaling one tackle which came against Rutgers on Nov. 3. He made his Wisconsin debut against Western Kentucky on Aug. 31.

MICHIGAN STATE

Anthony Williams Jr.

Bolingbrook graduate enrolled for the 2019 spring semester and participated in spring practice for the Spartans.

The 6-foot, 191-pound freshman was ranked the No. 2 running back in Illinois by 247Sports and ESPN.com and was the No. 1 all-purpose back in Illinois by Rivals.com.

Dashaun Mallory

Redshirt freshman defensive tackle from Bolingbrook was named Spartan Scout Team Defensive Player of the Week twice (vs. Central Michigan and Purdue) last season.

The 6-foot, 1-inch, 318-pounder was one of the top ranked defensive tackles in the nation by Rivals.com (No. 44) and 247Sports (No. 59) as a Raider.

MINNESOTA

Micah Dew-Treadway

Defensive lineman from Bolingbrook transferred to Minnesota after graduating from Notre Dame and will have two seasons of eligibility with the Gophers (2019-20 and 2020-21) after enrolling at Minnesota in January 2019.

He spent four years at Notre Dame and made two tackles in 21 games. He played in 12 games in 2018 and made two tackles after playing in nine games in 2017.

ILLINOIS

Kendall Smith

A 6-foot, 1-inch, 200-pound defensive back from Bolingbrook who is a junior for Illinois.

As a sophomore he played 10 games, primarily on special teams. The wide receiver-turned safety had 10 tackles and one forced fumble for the Illini, racking up a career-high three tackles at Maryland on Oct. 27 and his first career forced fumble against Western Illinois Sept. 8.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS

Jordan Nettles

Romeoville High School graduate who is a redshirt sophomore running back for NIU. In his first collegiate game, rushed for a season-high 74 yards on 13 carries at Iowa in the season opener. Ranked fourth on the team in rushing.

INDEPENDENT

ARMY

Brandon Walters

A 5-foot, 11-inch, 175-pound redshirt sophomore running back from Bolingbrook.

The former Bolingbrook Male Athlete of the Year Did not see varsity action last year for the Black Knights.

OREGON STATE

I'Shawn Stewart

Redshirt freshman wide receiver from Bolingbrook joined the Beavers in time for spring practice before his freshman season.
