OVER 30,000 SERVED! (We've got a ways to go to catch those guys with the golden arches, but what a great start!) VVSD Nutrition Services with the help of security staff and building staff at the four locations, passed out 30,000 meals on the first day of the Emergency Meals for Kids program. (We also thank the person in charge of the weather who held off the rain until the afternoon.) The Emergency Meals for Kids program will supply free "Grab 'n Go" meals on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-11 am. Emergency Meals for Kids is a drive-thru service at four VVSD locations: Bolingbrook High School and Humphrey Middle School in Bolingbrook, and Romeoville High School and Lukancic Middle School in Romeoville. Each car will receive enough breakfasts and lunches to feed up to four children until the next scheduled Emergency Meals for Kids day. There will be no accommodations made for special diets or allergies and the meals may contain peanuts. For health, safety, and convenience, patrons are to remain in their car while in the drive-thru line. #VVSDProud #KeepLearning
