February 23 • Woodridge

Notre Dame: After the Fire. 2-3 p.m. Woodridge Public Library. Join art historian Jeff Mishur for this in depth look at the history of Notre Dame in Paris. Mishur will discuss the Gothic innovations used in the great cathedral as well as interior features such as its stained glass windows. He will also touch on the current status of the church restoration.

Mishur is owner of Art Excursions, a small business providing private guiding and boutique art and cultural tours.

February 23 • Downers Grove

Bridge Musical Encore Concert. 4-5:30 p.m. First United Methodist Church. The Bridge Board at DGFUMC invites you to a special concert presented by our musically talented church members and friends. You may have heard them before (or not) but either way, join us to hear their Encore. All proceeds help support our Bridge families as we work with them toward self-sufficiency. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

February 24 • Lisle

Make It Monday: Wingardium Craftiosa. 4:30-6:30 p.m. Lisle Library District. Craft your very own Harry Potter Wand, just in time for Harry Potter Day at the Library. For 6th grade and up.

February 28 • Woodridge

Fix-It Clinic: Stuffed Animal Hospital. 2:30-4:30 p.m. Woodridge Public Library. Teddy Bear hurt his paw? Plush buddy lost her stuffing? Time for a check-up at the stuffed animal hospital. Library doctors will consult on a stuffed animal's health, recommend treatment, and provide sewing supplies & instruction to help repair the injured animal.

March 26 • Lisle

Family STEAM Night: Popsicle Stick Construction. 7-8:30 p.m. Lisle Library District.

Popsicle sticks are so much more than a way to learn bad dad jokes. We will be combining basic engineering skills and Popsicle sticks to make several different launchers, levers and structures. Please register with one name per group/family and indicate how many people are in your group.

April 9 • Lisle

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt. 9 p.m. at Lisle Community Park Bandshell. Remember the good old days when you were little enough to participate in the Egg Hunt? Well here’s your chance with an added twist. Grab your flashlight, make sure it has fresh batteries, and come join the fun in the dark. We will search for stuffed eggs and candy. Flashlight Egg Hunt is just for kid’s grades sixth-nine. Register before the deadline and save.

April 13 • Woodridge

Coloring for Adults. 6:30-8 p.m. Woodridge Public Library. Coloring is not just for kids anymore! A drop-in coloring club will start meeting the second Monday of each month, to enjoy an evening of relaxation and creativity. Meets just off-the-lobby on the main floor of the Woodridge Public Library, from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

A variety of coloring pages and colored pencils or markers will be provided, but participants are also welcome to bring their own supplies. A library volunteer—and coloring enthusiast—will be on hand to assist.
