Raider Notes...The Brook is 2-0. The Raiders hit .349 in the two wins over Plainfield East and Joliet Central....Seniors Connor Quigley (.636) and David Undernok (.573 HR 4 RBI) led the Raider assault on Bengals and Steelmen pitchers.

RHP Zach Sternberg (1-0, 0.00) and RHP Rene Martinez (1-0, 0.00) picked up the wins on the mound against the Bengals and the Steelmen. The Raiders pitching staff checks in after week one with an 1.05 ERA.

Trojan Notes: The valiant Trojans scored 27 runs in three games against the defending WSC Silver champions from LT and sadly could not pick up a win.

Senior Angus Nemeth (,454 2RBI), sophomore Ean Czech (.412 3RBI) and senior Lucas Nielson (.333 3 RBI) led the Trojan hitters in the LT series.

Mustang Notes: Mustangs take two out of three from WSC Gold contending Warriors....Senior Richie Pacenka (.444 3RBI), Matt Scolan (.400 RBI) and Cole Warehime (.333 2RBI) led the Mustang attack against the Warriors

K's....Senior RHP Noah Edders (1-0) picked up the win on Tuesday with five scoreless innings allowing a hit and striking out 10...Junior RHP Ethan Petera (1-0) picked up the win on Wednesday with four scoreless innings allowing a hit and striking out 9...In the loss on Thursday, in relief, senior LHP Luke Costello fired four no-hit innings, striking out nine Warrior hitters.

Senior RHP Drew Buss (1-0) picked up the win at Minooka

Steelmen Notes: Scored 10 runs in the third inning of TF South win, as senior Elias Esquivel goes 4-for-4...Esquivel (.667), junior Alex Roocha (.500 RBI) and senior Nathan Combs (.500) lead Steelmen hitters.

Senior LHP Adam Hoehn-Aguiera (1-0) picked up the win at TF South allowing no earned runs and two hits, while fanning six Rebel hitters.

Tiger Notes: In the win over Oak Lawn on Thursday, Tiger sophomore LHP Connor Hogan (1-0) was outstanding. Hogan allowed just one hit in his five scoreless innings, striking out seven Spartan hitters.

Senior C Ty Batusich led the Tigers hitting .545 for the week, with three RBI. Seniors Camden Karczewski (.454 2RBI) and Issac Rios (.333 4 RBI) added productive weeks for the Tigers.

Porter Notes: Pitching and a Fifth Place finish in "Do It Stevies Way" tourney...Porter pitchers gave up three earned runs in their 20 innings of work for a miniscule 1.05 ERA for their first three games of the season. Joe Sieber and Matt Santarelli picked up the wins on the mound...Closers, 'the birthday boy' Anthony Martinez and Ryan Moerman were perfect in nailing down the saves out of the pen.

Moerman went 6-for-10 for the week, with a 400-foot blast to center against Brother Rice and drove home three Porter runs. Vic Izquerdo hit .364 for the week and Griffin Brown had the game-winning two-run single, to beat St. Laurence...

Blue Demon Notes: In the Good Stem win on Friday, junior RHP Gabe Escobar (1-0) scattered eight hits and came within one out of a complete game. Escobar struck out eight.

Senior Chris Miller went 7-for-10 for the week with a pair of RBI....Senior Chris Iliopoulos (.545,RBI) and freshman Jalen Moraga (.400, 3RBI) also hit well for the Blue Demons.

Hawk Notes: In the win over BG on Saturday senior Charlie Schau went 4-for-4 raising his batting average to .500 for the week. In the Notre Dame win on Thursday, junior Luke Kracik drove home four Hawk runs. The next day, WR Kracik caught three passes for 58 yards in the Hawks football victory over New Trier 14-9, for the CSL South title. Kracik hit .333 with the four RBIs for the week...

Senior Timmy O'Brian (1-0) and junior Leo Corbett (1-0), picked up the wins on the mound against ND and BG.

Indian Notes: Indian starting RHP Kyle Walter (5 IP, 0ER,H,5K) was the tough-luck losing pitcher against Joliet Catholic on Tuesday...Starting RHP Casey Swanson left the LW Central game with a 1-0 lead after firing five scoreless innings. Allowing just two hits while striking out four....LW Central would score two in the bottom of the seventh for the 2-1 win..Casey Swanson went 3-for-4 in the two games...Senior Hunter Ryan hit .333 with an RBI, before leading the Indians football team to a huge SPC West win over West Aurora on Saturday night.

Wolf Notes: Senior Kyle Gibson. All Gibson did was go 9-for-15 (.600) at the plate with five RBI to lead the Wolves into the Top Ten in the Bugle/Enterprise Area Baseball Rankings...In the 12-2 first game win over Meadows took to the mound. RHP Gibson fired four scoreless innings allowing one hit and striking out nine...Gibson went 3-for-3 with four RBI in Saturday's second-game blow out of Rolling Meadows.

Junior John Raciti hit .454 for the week, which included a 3-for-3 game in the win over Payton, while junior Alex Cherian checks in at .400 for the week. Cherian went 3-for-4 with three ribbies in the game one blow out of Meadows on Saturday...Junior RHP Sean Carey (1-0) picked up the win against Payton while Cherian (1-0) was the winning pitcher in the game two win over Meadows.

Don Notes: The Dons can hit. In four games this week they scored 27 runs and 49 hits, led by senior Mike O'Connor who went 7-for-13 for the week with three RBI...Joey Culen went 6-for-11 with two RBI and Matt Melendez also went 6-for-11 for the week...The week started out in fairytale fashion, as the Dons scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to overcome an 8-5 Glenbrook South lead. Brendan Dunne's two-out, two-run walkoff single gave the Dons the 9-8 win.

Wildcat Notes: The 'Cats season opened up with a combined no-no at West Chicago....Senior RHP Jack Irwin (WP, 3IP 0H 5K), junior LHP Tannor Wagnon (1 IP 0H 2K) and junior LHP Josh Culberson (1IP 0H 3K) combined for the no-no. Irvin helped himself at the plate with two hits, including a triple and drove home five Wildcat runs...Irwin would finish the week at 3-for-4 with three BB and the five ribbies...Senior Howard Leroy Jordan was only retired once in has seven official trips to the plate. That's an .857 batting average with three RBI...Senior Spencer Ruch (.667 3 RBI), senior Nate Buchan (.600 RBI) and senior Nate Sommerfeld (.500 3 RBI) all had monster week's for the 'Cats as they hit an even .400 (20-for-50) for the week...

Junior RHP Carter Prohaska (1-0) picked up the win over Bradley-Bourbonnais, allowing one earned run, two hits, with five strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work..

Bengal Notes: After losing their opener to surprising Boilingbrook, the Bengals lost back-to-back one-run losses to undefeated LW West (2-0) and Naperville Central (3-0)....Senior Mike Bailey went 7-for-13 with a homer and four RBI to lead the Bengals attack...Junior Nate Mole hit .400 with three RBIs, while junior Chris Mitchelle batted .333 wih two RBI...

Senior RHP Gavin Schmitt (0-1), struck out seven and had allowed unearned run and a hit in his three innings.

Spartan Notes: The Spartans opened up the season blowing out Oak Lawn and Stagg. Senior Nate Schuster (1-0) and junior Nick Kolze (1-0) picked up the wins on the mound over Oak Lawn and Stagg...Schuster allowed two hits and an unearned run in his four innings of work. Senior Ulysses Munoz struck out six of the nine Spartan hitters he would face, to nail down the save....Kolze struck out seven and allowed an unearned run and a hit against Stagg....Senior Tyler Spiecker and Kolze both went 5-for- 9 (.545) to lead the Spartan hitters for the week...Kolze drove in four Spartan runs while Spiecker drove a pair Senior Julian Jimenez went 6-for-13 with three RBI...Schuster went 4-for-9 with an RBI...

Sentinel Notes: The Sentinels almost came away with their first win of the season in the second game of Saturday's DH with Northridge Prep...Benhind junior Jason Czaplewski, senior Spencer Anton and junior Caleb Kleinz, the Sentinels led 8-5 as the five-inning scheduled second game moved to the top of the fifth...Sadly, the guests from Niles scored four times to complete the sweep of the doubleheader.

Freshman Noah Valentin led the Sentinel offense for the week with a .273 batting average...Kleinz checked in at second with a .183 mark.
