The Niles Police Department is investigating an electronic email threat that was sent to Emerson Middle School administration on April 2.

The email included a threat to "shoot up the school."

Niles PD School Resource Officer and detectives are working closely with Emerson School administration and staff on this investigation.

Niles PD has partnered with Emerson administration to ensure the safety of students and staff.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
