Alexander-Basta retains her seat as mayor of Bolingbrook

Argoudelis takes empty seat in Plainfield

As the polls close, Will County mayor races are in the books.

In the Village of Bolingbrook, Mary Alexander-Basta, who was appointed the interim mayor after the retirement of Roger Claar, won the election with 42.77 percent of the vote. Jackie Traynere (32.59%) and Sheldon L/ Watts (24.51%) were her challengers.

In Plainfield John F. Argoudelis posted 52.65 percent of the vote to defeat Margie Bonuchi (47.35%)

Steven Streit retained his seat as mayor of Lockport with 72.95 percent of the vote

Catherine M. Perretta tallied 15.29 percent, while Ronald Cornolo earned 11.76 percent.

In Crest Hill, Ray Soliman retains his seat as mayor with 70.41 percent of the vote, defeating Tina Oberlin (29.59).
