Back on Thursday, January 23, 2020 (47-43) and then again on February 11, 2020 (51-48), Homewood-Flossmoor defeated the Bolingbrook Lady Raiders.

The two Lady Vikings victories over Bolingbrook gave H-F the 2019-20 girls Southwest Suburban Conference Blue Division basketball championship.

As a sophomore, now junior, Bolingbrook's Kennedi Perkins gave everything she had in the two heartbreaking losses to H-F. On Monday night she remembered those losses and paid back the Lady Vikings.

Scoring a game-high 21 points, Perkins led the Lady Raiders (5-1,3-0) to a convincing 58-46 SWSC Blue victory. With the win the Lady Raiders sit atop the SWSC Blue.

Perkins scored 15 first-half points, nine in the first quarter, leading the Lady Raiders to a 31-27 halftime lead.

Leading 33-29 with seven minutes in the third quarter, Perkins and Lady Raider freshman, Angelina Smith (seven points), went on a 9-0 run to open up a 42-29 Brook lead with 4:48 left in the quarter.

Perkiins scored the first four points and then Smith scored five consecutive points to open up the game. The Raiders lead 49-35 after three quarters.

With 5:40 remaining in the game, H-F (2-2, 2-1) rallied behind sophomore Alyssa Latham (17 points, 10 rebounds) to pull within 49-41.

Bolingbrook junior Madisyn Saracco (12 points) put the nail in the Lady Vikings coffin.

Saracco scored inside, stole an H-F pass and scored again for a 53-41 lead in just 30 seconds.

Junior Tatiana Thomas scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds, while senior De' Anha Richardson chipped in with seven points and hauled down six rebounds for the Raiders.

The two clubs will meet in Flossmoor, on March 11.
