Plainfield School District 202 informed parents today on some topics that have come in question around the COVID-19 shutdown of schools.

As of now, all 'right of passage events' such as prom, graduation and eighth grade promotion have been postponed, but not cancelled. District 202 will decide whether to cancel or move these events at the time the state decides if/when school will resume.

District 202 this week suspended tuition payments for the time-being for full-day kindergarten and tuition-based preschool, while the status of spring athletics and extracurricular event fees for school-related, extracurricular and tuition-based programs (for example, field trips, athletics, full-day kindergarten, tuition-based preschool will have more information released soon.

While some athletic events have been canceled, no entire sports seasons have been canceled.

District 202 also updated families of both general education students and students with special needs about the status of the district's Remote Learning Plan and special education services. That information is posted on the "Covid-19" and "Remote Learning" pages on the district's website: http://www.psd202.org
