Biosah and Bailey lead USF to fourth place at Windy City Rumble

A pair of first-place finishes by Moses Biosah (SO/Maywood, Ill.) and one from Davual Bailey (FR/Joliet, Ill.) helped led the nationally seventh-ranked University of St. Francis men's indoor track and field team to fourth place at the University of Chicago's Windy CIty Rumble Meet, which was held this Saturday (Feb. 8) at UChicago's Henry Crown Field House.
Moses Biosah claimed top individual honors in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes while Davual Bailey attained first place in the long jump for USF, which amassed 86 team points. Host University of Chicago was crowned the 2020 meet champion with 156 points and Wheaton (Ill.) took second place with 128 points. Finishing one place in front of USF was Valparaiso, which accumulated 112 points while Saint Xavier took fifth place with 47 points among nine schools competing.
In the 60 meters, Moses Biosah was the first to cross the finish line with a NAIA 'B' standard qualifying time of 6.92. Davual Bailey was third at 7.06 followed by Kenny Brown (JR/Plainfield, Ill.), who ran 7.10 for fourth place. Biosah's other first-place performance was in the 200 meters as he sprinted a time of 22.59. The 400-meter dash saw USF's Elihu Young (SO/Blue Island, Ill.) run a 51.09 to place third. Kaizer Giddie (SO/Plainfield, Ill.) took fifth with a 52.14 time while the eighth thru 10th-place positions went to Anthony Suero (FR/Shorewood, Ill.) (55.01), Thomas Brown (SR/Olympia Fields, Ill.) (55.11), and Riley McIntyre (SO/Joliet, Ill.) (57.45) in that order.
The mile run was highlighted by Pedro Ocampo's (FR/Berwyn, Ill.) second-place 4:17.92 time, which also represented a NAIA 'A' standard qualifying mark. Mark Dames (FR/Channahon, Ill.) ran a 4:33.16 time for 15th place and Thomas Brown was 16th by posting a 4:33.33 time. Zachary Hoover (JR/Crown Point, Ind.) paced the Saints in the 3,000-meter run by registering a seventh-place 9:01.24 time. In the 800 meters, Mark Dames was the first Saints' runner to cross the finish line with an 11th-place time of 2:05.44. Timothy Wade (FR/Joliet, Ill.) also recorded a top 15 placing as he garnered 14th place by running a time of 2:08.67.
