Conservation Park, located at 524 W. Belmont, was constructed in 2002 and is now 17 years old. Soon, one of the most used parks in Romeoville's system will be re-developed and modernized. A new playground will be built, the shelter and fishing pavilion will be sanded and repainted, and there will be landscaping and path improvements.

"It is important that we keep the facilities up to date and ensure the parks are accessible for everyone," stated Mayor John Noak.

Part of these improvements will be funded by the $382,800 OSLAD grant awarded to Lake Strini. Conservation Park is right next to the lake. Work at Conservation Park is expected to be completed by late Summer 2020.
