Niles-Maine District Library hosts annual Preschool and Daycare Fair

Finding the right preschool or daycare for your child can be stressful. Thankfully, the Niles-Maine District Library is making this process much easier by inviting parents to meet with morethan 30 local representatives in one place. The annual Preschool and Daycare Fair will be held atthe Library on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The first 25 families will receivea free picture book!Parents are encouraged to bring their questions and concerns to the pre-fair FAQ sessionfrom 10-10:30 a.m., where Cheryl Joseph, Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education atOakton Community College, will help parents decide how to choose a philosophy of childcarethat best fits their family values and the questions to ask when evaluating a childcare center.From 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m., parents will be able to meet with preschool and daycarerepresentatives from the local community. The representatives will be on-hand to answerquestions and parents will be able to take home brochures as they sort through this importantdecision.This event is free and no registration required. Families that fill out a short survey at theend of the event to be entered in a drawing for a $25 Starbucks gift card.The Niles-Maine District Library is located at 6960 W. Oakton St, the northeast corner ofthe Oakton and Waukegan intersection. Library hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9p.m., Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
