Story length is to be 500-650 words long and be text only.

A first, second and third place winner will be chosen from three divisions: Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade, and Sixth Grade. Winners will be chosen by author Celia P Perez. Stories will be judged on creativity and writing skill.

Winners will be announced at the Short Story Contest Award Ceremony and Author Talk on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10am. All writers and their families are invited to attend. Each winning writer will be invited to a meet and greet with Celia P Perez (same day from 11:00-11:30am).

Winning stories will be printed in the Plainfield Public Library Short Story Journal for Grades 4-6. This publication will be distributed to all elementary and middle school media centers in District 202.
